Stay in the Dark

About the Book

It starts with a thought.

In 1956, a lonely girl named Evelyn Harrow is locked away inside Black Vale Asylum, where no one comes looking for her.

Decades later, a dare sends a teenage boy into Black Vale's abandoned halls. Days later, he's dead, ruled a suicide.

Liv doesn't believe it. She and her friends go back inside for answers, and something follows them home.

Thoughts that aren't hers begin slipping out loud. Dark impulses spread through the group like a contagion. As the line between thought and action collapses, paranoia takes hold and no one can trust their own mind. Every answer leads deeper into Black Vale's buried history and the girl it locked away.

Now the curse is loose again. And once it starts... it doesn't let go.

A slow-burn, atmospheric psychological horror novel about intrusive thoughts, grief, and a close-knit group of teens coming apart. It's built on creeping dread more than gore, for readers who love creepy asylums, rich small-town lore, and stories that make you question what's real.
